Sloppy Joes

1/2 lb ground beef

1/4 cup chopped onion

1/2 cup katsup

1/2 tablespoon mustard

salt and pepper to taste

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon taco seasoning

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1/2 cup water

Brown meat and onion together then add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil then reduce to low and let simmer until thick, stirring occasionally.

Scoop desired amount onto buns and top with cheese and other desired ingredients.

Dinner

Pot Pie

Pie dough

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons flour

1 cup milk

½ teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper

1/8 teaspoon cayenne

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

1 can mixed vegetables

1 can chicken

Prepare the pie dough, roll out bottom section, and place in pie pan.

In a saucepan melt the butter and whisk in flour. Add the milk whisking continuously. Once combined add the seasonings. Once the sauce is thick and bubbly add the whole can of chicken and drained can of vegetables. Pour mixture into pie pan.

Roll out top section of dough and place over pie. Crimp the edges together with you're fingers and cut off the excess dough. Cut air vents in the top of the crust.

Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 25 minutes or until desired color of brown is achieved.
